Non-Song (Un-Sung for Bar Harbor, ME)

October 11, 2023 in poetry

I gaze upon the rocks. A vast
eternity of ocean belabors
the one true mystery. A broken

gull chorus ignites the search
for its next meal—cracked
mollusks on a stone shoreline.

Satiate the day

The waves crash like thunder,
leaving behind a fizzy fog that trails
beyond the span of my affection.

I mention how small we must seem,
but the ocean says nothing. It just
keeps rocking back and forth.

Rhythm without song

Words Without Music

Writing is a journey into the center of the self. This blog is an outlet for the thoughts, feelings, and poems that bubble to the surface during my exploration of inner space.
